This past Mother’s Day, we had the absolute joy of hosting a heartfelt candle-making class at The Brown Sugar Collab in Charlotte, and it was nothing short of beautiful.
The room was filled with women ready to celebrate themselves, their mothers, or their sisterhood through scent and creativity. As they blended fragrance oils, chose vessels, and poured their custom candles, the air was filled with laughter, storytelling, and soulful connection.
For many, it wasn’t just about making a candle; it was a chance to slow down, connect with other women, and create something meaningful. Some reflected on motherhood, some were first-time candle makers, and others came to relax and unwind in a welcoming space. The energy was warm, affirming, and filled with light, just like the women in the room.
